Chris Dedow
Welcome
I am the founder of Data Pipeline Builders, where I build data infrastructure for finance and revenue teams. My professional passions are revenue analytics, machine learning, and finance. My personal ones span running, dancing, language learning, traveling, and meeting new people.
How I got here
My interest in analytics started while I was managing a business abroad and realized how badly Excel handled continuously updating data. I went back to school for a Master's in Computational Data Analytics while working at LinkedIn in a finance capacity, helping lead business intelligence within Talent Solutions. I have been in data ever since, and the finance background never stopped being the useful part.
Current focus
I am all in on Data Pipeline Builders. The thesis is straightforward: companies want to point AI agents at their business data, and generic models hallucinate on ungoverned warehouses. The answer is not a better model, it is a harness. Tested dbt models, one definition per metric, and an MCP server that exposes only what has been validated. That is what PipeHouse is. PipeQL is the collaborative SQL editor that sits on top, and PipeAcademy teaches the practices behind both.
This is what I do full time. The work spans every go-to-market function, sales, marketing, and revenue operations, alongside the finance side, with a specialization in SaaS.
In my free time I read about developments in AI and ML, and tools that make the job easier or automate it out of existence. Lately that means OLTP and OLAP pipeline design, SQL and Python automation, and building with the Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini APIs.
